Can I decode a 1D linear code with my mobile ?
With Lynkee, phones equipped with
autofocus (except Windows Mobile) can read the codes on consumer
products (EAN13) or books (ISBN). If you do not have a phone
of this type, Lynkee gives you the ability to retrieve information
from a book on the internet by entering the 13 digits code
manually. To read these codes you must activate the option
in Lynkee settings.

How does Lynkee work ?
Launch the application on your
mobile. Then point the camera in front of the bar code so
that the code is the clearest possible. On some phones you
have the pattern (framework) for precise focusing and the
ability to zoom. If your phone works in 'snapshot' mode, you
must take a photo to read the content; on the contrary, for
the phones working in 'realtime' mode, decoding will be done
automatically from the displayed video. A guide for your phone
is available directly in Lynkee’s help on your mobile.

I have downloaded Lynkee on my PC. How can I transfer/install
it on my mobile ?
You must transfer the data on your
mobile via a USB cable or any other connections (Bluetooth,
WiFi, memory card ...). Please consult the manual of your
mobile for more details on this operation.
The Java version is downloaded as a ZIP compressed file. You
must open (unzip) on your computer first, and then transfer
the two files on your mobile.
